CONCRETE JUNGLE

Kim and I caught up for outfit posts way up in the sky this week. From one of the multi-storey car parks in Perth, we could see the city for miles in every direction. We jumped around and giggled like crazy as we climbed towers and looked down on the city below. I wore my brand new red patent boots c/o Dublin clothing with a French Connection denim jacket which I thrifted a while ago and a chiffon dress which my mum and I made. I'm actually in love with my Dublin boots at the moment - super well made, comfortable and a little bit different too. What more could you want?

SPONSORED VIDEO - RIVER ISLAND VOGUE OFF

This afternoon I was emailed this River Island video, promoting their new "Vogue-off" Facebook App. I have spent the rest of the afternoon playing around with the app and giggling my head off! You paste your face onto one of the models and select any dance move and it generates a video of "you" dancing around with another model! I used photos of me pulling hilarious facial expressions and it made for some pretty fun dance videos! Check out the video here:

To use the Facebook app yourself click HERE or access it via River Island's Facebook page HERE!

River Island have made a name for themselves as a youthful, trendy super-brand with popping colours and fun prints! Now you can dance your way into their campaign video and be a part of the hype! It is genuinely pretty fun. In my video I typed in "Dougie" as the dance style and the model (with my face!) actually had some pretty sweet moves. So far every dance style that I have typed in has generated a hilarious video of that particular dance! I wouldn't post a sponsored post that I didn't personally love, so I would definitely suggest having a go - it's a perfect work or study break!

BUSY BUSY

I'm sorry about the blogging hiatus everyone, I'm trying to find the time to get back into regular posting (hopefully very soon!)

My days have been occupied with seemingly ENDLESS assignments at Uni; op-shopping my winter wardrobe and splurging on key pieces; working every chance I get and trying to fit in time to see friends and family! It literally feels like every time I hand in an assignment, I have to rush home to start another one...

On the plus side I thrifted these heels at Retro Vinnies in Freo the other day and I can't wait to style them for an outfit post. I have been getting back into thrift shopping in a big way lately, putting the time in and finding some amazing pieces at ridiculous prices. I even found a couple of metres of faux leather at Good Sammys which I am going to try and DIY into a leather paper bag clutch like these ones

In short, I have heaps of posts coming up - I just need Uni to give me a bit of a break so I can publish them!

DARE TO BE DUBLIN

From day to night, fashionable and functional - that's the dream right? As much as a woman might say she'd prefer fashionable shoes over comfortable shoes, I don't believe anyone who says they wouldn't prefer shoes that delivered on both... These Dublin boots are one of those magical pairs of shoes that (in my humble opinion) do just that. Made from leather which is then treated with a white wax finish, makes them 100% waterproof! That means you can jump around in puddles and look stylish at the same time!

BETTY TRAN AT PFW

When Betty Tran sent me tickets to her PFW show, I really wasn't sure what to expect from her collection. Betty is one of those designers who creates beautifully tailored pieces made from interesting textiles and prints. She designs both day-wear and evening-wear and I wondered which collection she would show. As it happened, she showed both, in a seamless and captivating runway presentation which made me want to run straight to her store and max out my credit card... The casual collection was definitely the stand out for me - Betty's use of two-tone fabric was really effective. The jewellery, provided by Moi Moi jewellery and combined with Betty Tran accessories, added the finishing touches to a wonderful collection, styled to perfection on each of the models. I brought my friend Carla along to the show with me, and we had such a great time watching the debut of Betty Tran's latest collection!
